Our lovely Neighbour in Vesime Hortencia is the local manager of Villa Lavanda. Without her and her husband, Villa Lavanda would not be what it is today.
Hortencia is fluent in Italian & Portuguese - but used to translating any communication in English. She is responsible for Check-in and Check-Out, housekeeping and will be at your side to answer any concerns you may have and handles all booked additional services.

After our honeymoon in 2016, enjoying the Italian countryside in an old, piemontese stone villa, we knew we wanted to one day own a villa of our own and share this idyllic experience with others. After a year of searching and countless trips to Piedmont, we finally located the beautiful stone house in Vesime which would become La Villa Lavanda. We purchased this treasure in December 2017, and as they say, the rest is history.
Lukas and I live in Switzerland. Lukas works as an industrial engineer at a technology consulting firm, while I am an account manager at one of the big-4
consulting firms in life science industry.

Built in 1790, Villa Lavanda was once, but a small farmhouse left to decay through centuries of abandonment. Then in 1970 a Swiss hotelier bought it with the intent of restoring it back to life. After finishing the project, he sold the villa to the former CEO of the Swiss National Television whose family kept it for many years. Then in 2017, we were overjoyed to be able to purchase the villa from them. Once in our care, we decided to completely renovate the villa and bring it back to its original design. In 2018, the renovation and extension work broke ground in collaboration with local architect Alberto Barbero in Canelli, along with many local craftsmen and the great support of Neighbours, local authorities, and our family. Together, we were able to create the beautiful Villa Lavanda which we are happy to share with you today.
